To document Wisconsin, Cameron uses various mediums including analog film photography, pinhole cameras, and digital photography.
His analog black and white darkroom prints are created by hand, one at a time, in his home darkroom. The images are captured on film using pinhole cameras and vintage film cameras, then printed in the darkroom using nothing more than light and chemistry. A process that has remained mostly unchanged for over a century. Cameron published the book “The Pinhole Thing: The Beauty of Simplicity” featuring the best of his pinhole photography.
Cameron hiked the entire 1200-mile Ice Age Trail photographing the landscapes, communities, and people of Wisconsin. His photography book “Around Wisco: Hiking the Ice Age Trail” showcases the photos and story of the journey and the people he met along the way.
