About The Importance of Being Earnest, we look no further than Oscar Wilde, “The Importance of Being Earnest is exquisitely trivial, a delicate bubble of fancy, and it has its philosophy… That we should treat all the trivial things of life very seriously, and all the serious things of life with sincere and studied triviality.”
Make plans to be trivial with us; there will be muffins. Attend our bake sale at intermission. Do come prepared, as the only real tragedy is a temptation one cannot afford.

Groundlings Theater, founded in 2024 by Hannah Nies, hosts small-scale performances and script readings in the community and hopes to offer larger productions in the community as it grows! The goal of Groundlings Theater is to grow Waunakee's theatrical community and increase community engagement with the theater.
